PROMATT - 1MM abs EDGING

Proadec's PROMATT edging should be paired with matte interior surfaces. Design features include; easy to clean, resistant to fingerprints, grease, scuff marks & scratches are. The ideal edging for recently introduced acrylic matte panels. Promatt is currently only available in the colour Black at 1mm thick and upto 45mm wide. PROLASER - 1MM PP LASER EDGING

PROLASER PP edging is coextruded, comprising of two identically matched layers, a Premium Coating Layer and Functional Layer. PP is produced from a thermoplastic polymer named Polypropylene.

The perfectly square form guarantees a seamless connection between board & edging with no need for additional hot melt adhesive. PROLASER PP edging can meet all top quality demands.

An advantage of PP edging is that it can be easily disposed of as there is no need for time-consuming sorting or separation of edging from boards. These items can safely be incinerated together in authorised plants. Its environmental benefits and its ability to be joined by heat fusion rather than gluing makes it a very competitive solution. 

PROPAINT - 1MM PAINTABLE PVC EDGING

• PROPAINT is a pre-primed PVC edgebanding designed for use as a paintable surface.
• The main technical feature is the homogeneous adhesive primer coating on the surface of the edging.
• PROPAINT accepts either solvent, oil, or water-based paints.
• 100% lead & plasticiser free.
• Recommended for use with no preparation e.g sanding which allows for savings in time and materials.
• PROPAINT has been subjected to testing by MIROTONE PTY. Mirotone is New Zealand’s largest supplier of paint systems to the furniture and cabinetry trade.

“A growing number of our customers are already utilising PROPAINT paintable edging with great success. Initially most of them approached us seeking assurances our paint's would key successfully to the product. Under standard testing parameters we checked for adhesion, and impact damage to replicate common industry practices each test was performed on untreated, sanded and solvent wiped PROPAINT, with a range of coating systems including acid cat and polyurethane. All coating systems showed excellent adhesion as per cross-cut test method. Under impact testing MIROTHANE performed the best which mirrors the manufacturers
recommendations to use a 2k PU coating;

• Mirothane PU 5626 Undercoat
• Mirothane 5650 & 5608 Polyurethane

PROPAINT also tested well with our clear coat systems and plastic adhesion promoters. PROPAINT certainly offers major savings on labour and paint, to get that perfect painted edge”

PROCLASSIC 1MM edging solidly adheres to the substrate and seals the surface completely to protect it from the impact, moisture and U.V. light. This subtle PVC edging allows for easy trimming whether applied by hand or with a conventional edgebander. A sharp low profile visual effect can be achieved and is suited to the manufacture of cabinetry carcasses.

Available in widths from 19mm, 22mm, 29mm, 35mm to 45mm - PROCLASSIC 1MM edgebandings are produced by sheet calendaring allowing widths of 16mm to 45mm to be produced.
