How it works:
Like co-extruded Prolaser, a colour-matched functional polymer layer is added standard PVC & ASB edging.
Post-applied layer activates under heat for a permanent zero-joint bond on Laser, Hyfuse, Hot-Air & NIR edgebanders
Because laser-ready edging hasn’t kept pace with the variety of décors and sizes needed in NZ. The LaserCoater system converts stocked ABS and PVC edging into laser-ready formats on demand.
LaserCoater tape has been tested on machines using laser, Hyfuse, hot-air, and NIR edgebanding systems. Testing with major machinery suppliers has confirmed compatibility with standard processing settings.
In most practical settings, yes. Trials with Jacks (KDT/Homag), Beisse, and HPTech confirm that LaserCoater tape delivers a finish and bond very close to co-extruded Prolaser Ready tape, with only minor heat/pressure calibration.
All stocked 1mm edgebands where a colour matched polymer is available can be converted. Over 110 décors are currently matched and compatible, including widths up to 65mm.
